This week's recommendation:
"Cash in My Pocket" by "Wiley featuring Daniel Merriweather" from the album "See Clear Now"
Although this song is released in 2008, I've only heard of it recently, when I watched "StreetDance" actually. I don't know about you guys, but I think this music is quite... funny. You'll (probably) know once you've heard it. As I mentioned earlier, this song appears in the movie "StreetDance" when Jay 2.0 is dancing in a mall for funds so they can rent a place or studio for practice.
Lyrics:
Won't waste my money
No, i see a new path
-
Making new money now i got a new laugh (ha)
Music is playing me well, so i aint gunna be the one to find a new craft
If it aint for you find a new path
If you can't hack it, better find a new class
Triple Akon gotta find a new pass
Drive me not to do when im buying new cars
All i really want is money in my pocket
Cash in my hand yo
Skrilla in my Wallet
All i really want is money in my pocket
Cash in my hand ye
Skrilla in my wallet
if john gets one he puts away half
So when i get one im gunna put away half
I make money slow i make money fast
Then back to the hood so i can have the last laugh
Still laughing cuz i know im not a half
When we release we don't wanna half chart
The IQ is high some of them are half smart
But i do it like Ronson hard days craft
All i really want is money in my pocket
Cash in my hand yo
Skrilla in my Wallet
All i really want is money in my pocket
Cash in my hand ye
Skrilla in my wallet (ye ye ye)
Skrilla in my wallet (ye ye ye)
Skrilla in my wallet (ye ye ye)
All i want is that cheese im tryna get that cheddar
Cuz money make the world go round
All i need is that bread with a little bit of a butter
Cuz i really need those pounds
So i counted it once and i put some in my poclet
And counted it twice then i make sure not to drop it
I got a london attitude don't care
I don't hear in my head by so many years in faamily crying out so many tears no way im gunna be broke yeah
Got money for the next year next year next year next year and the year after
Rides a marter like Shaun Carter and the Wayne Carter
But next year im gunna step up a gear and go harder
You know me im a master i cause disaster, i cause disaster
Anywhere on earth find money like anywhere i surf
Plus anywhere i lurk the ropes have earnt the right to choose any stage anywhere i murk anywhere i am alert
Wanna make a decision, like being back in school doing revision.
All i really want is money in my pocket
Cash in my hand yo
Skrilla in my Wallet
All i really want is money in my pocket
Cash in my hand ye
Skrilla in my wallet

New Song
Okay so for every new recommendation I'll add the details and the lyrics for the song.
This week's Song Recommendation:
"Bang Bang" by "K'naan featuring Adam Levine" from the album "Troubador"
As some of you may know, Adam Levine is the lead vocal for the band Maroon 5. This song is used as one of the 2010's "Karate Kid" remake soundtrack.
Lyrics:
(Intro)
She shot me, she shot me,
Bang, bang… she shot me. (x3)
She shot me, she shot me,
Bang, bang. (Get out the way, yo)
(Verse 1)
Ahh… there she goes again,
The girl is Ethiopian.
In other words, she came through explodin’
In the podium, dynamite
Napoleon like sodium mixed with petroleum,
Slowly but surely, she was walking toward me
Cut the convo short ‘cause she had to wake up early,
But continuing the story,
Don’t worry she gave me digits for her Blackberry
“You’re very handsome” is what she said.
And the way she looked in my eyes said “Put me to bed.”
(Pre-chorus)
Oh my, oh my, I should have known when she said to me on the phone:
“You do not know me very well, but I would never hurt a fly.”
Then she aimed at my chest with love in her eye.
I said she aimed at my chest with love in her eye.
(Chorus)
Adam Levine:
She was walkin’ around with a loaded shotgun
Ready to fire me a hot one.
It went bang, bang, bang…
Straight through my heart. (Straight through my heart)
Although I could have walked away,
I stood my ground and let her spray.
K’naan:
She shot me, she shot me
Bang ,bang… she shot me (x3)
She shot me, she shot me
Bang, bang.
(Verse 2)
Scorpion,
She’s so hot she’s a scorch-ian,
Killing me softly,
Lauryn or Kevorkian,
Couldn’t tell if she’s coo-coo or corky, when
I asked her her name she said “Call me Ten.”
Testing, testing
Things just got more interesting
She’s dressed in a vest pin, double-breasted holster,
A very Western toaster,
She ain’t nothing Kosher.
Ah… she lets me closer.
Hotter than a pepper-crusted Samosa
While I try to keep my composure.
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
Am I wrong?
But what is love without the pain to go along?
And what is pain if not the reason for me to sing this song?
And this song is for the weak and for the strong.
Cause I was strong and still…
She got me, she got me,
Bang, bang… she got me.
She got me, she got me,
Bang, bang.
